Hanami

These are some of my pictures from Hanami, or Cherry Blossom season. These are scenes around Okazaki Castle in Okazaki. The blossoms have been out for about 2 weeks now and on sunday there was a big festival with lots of food and entertainment. There was a parade which involved children and adults dressed as samurais. They rode horses, shot guns and re-inacted battle scenes.

The most popular activity during this time of the year is to have picnics under the cherry blossoms with friends and family. Lots of food to eat and lots of liquor to drink.
